Quality of life through better movement is what I emphasize in Pilates training. Pilates is a mind body discipline that includes proper breathing, core strength development and concentration on how we move. Developing a balanced musculature allows you to perform activities you love safely and efficiently. It is great for injury recovery, sports performance and developing good posture. Taking a look at how you use your body on most days will be an important part of understanding your concerns.
In the Bay Area we experience long commutes and many hours seated. There is help for that along with returning to a stronger core post child birth, unwinding tightness or pain in your back and returning to activities following an injury or joint replacement.
